BrownTop Stringybark commonly known as Australian Oak, Messmate, Tasmanian Oak is a hardwood tree native to South-Eastern Australia. Stringybark wood has straight grain, which are sometime interlocked. The sapwood is pale brown, the heartwood light brown while gum veins are common too. Timber flooring made from Brown Top Stringybark is moderate hardness and strength (Janka hardness rating 9.24), easily absorbs stains, hence you can alter floor color based on your interior design needs.
