Blue Gum – is one of the largest Australian species found along the NSW coastline extending from Batemans Bay to Southern Queensland. It grows to the heights of 60m tall. Blue Gum timber used widely in furniture, joinery, flooring and general construction. The heartwood colour ranges from dark pink to reddish brown, while sapwood is much paler in color. Blue gum has Janka hardness rating of 9, therefore is very strong and durable wood flooring. It is not termite resistant and heartwood class 2 above the ground.
